ILXQuant Semiconductor Sovereignty and CHIPS Act Basket Index
Fixed-basket index of 10 companies benefiting from the largest industrial policy intervention since World War II -- the $52B US CHIPS and Science Act plus allied reshoring programmes across the EU, Japan, and India. After 40 years of semiconductor manufacturing being offshored, US-China decoupling has transformed chip production into a primary national security issue. The basket covers the US-domestic supply chain -- the only US logic foundry (GlobalFoundries), strategic compound semiconductors (onsemi SiC, Wolfspeed SiC substrates), RF/microwave for defence (Skyworks, Qorvo), critical materials (Entegris), process equipment (MKS Instruments), ion implant (Axcelis), and wafer probing (FormFactor). Intel is included as the only US company rebuilding advanced-logic IDM foundry capacity. Rebalances quarterly to equal weight.
