ILXQuant Food Security and Agricultural Sovereignty Basket Index

Fixed-basket index of 10 companies at the intersection of geopolitical food weaponisation and agricultural technology. Morocco controls 70 percent of global phosphate reserves. Russia and Belarus control 40 percent of potash supply. Intrepid Potash (IPI) is the only domestic US potash producer -- the last line of US fertiliser sovereignty. China has purchased over 1 million acres of US farmland. Gladstone Land provides direct exposure to farmland as an asset class -- arable land per person is declining 2 percent annually and farmland has outperformed the S+P 500 over 30 years with near-zero correlation. Deere and Trimble are building autonomous precision agriculture that will allow the same food production with 30-40 percent less water and fertiliser. Mosaic, Nutrien, Corteva, and ICL complete the global agricultural supply chain. Rebalances quarterly to equal weight.
